Black Mountain opened in April 2007 & was chosen to host a round of the Asian tour in early 2009. Designed by Phil Ryan, the course is visually stunning, set in a valley surrounded by mountains. Retaining many of the natural creeks & features of the land, the course has been designed to test the skills of the world's top golfers, yet still remaining playable to the average golfer. The fairways vary along their length, from being generous for those with shorter drives, to narrow for the longer hitter. There are blind holes, dog legs, greens above & below the approach, variations of every description. The greens themselves are large, allowing for several pin positions each with varying degrees of difficulty. Lake water & waterways are in abundance throughout the course which is also well protected by beautifully sculptured bunkers.
A magnificent clubhouse with a restaurant & lounge & a well stocked proshop, provides a panoramic view of the course & the surrounding countryside & mountains. Complimentary lockers & showers are provided.
